Painting eyes!
Introduction

After hearing Iluvatar say about an eye painting guide i realised there were none here so i decided to make one Very Happy .

First option - fine detail brushes

This way is probably the most common yet in my opinion the hardest. Get the smallest brush you can find (size 0.00000001 is best Razz ). Now first of all paint the eye with skull white. Next get a very small tiny weeny dot of chaos black(Enchanted blue works well too) and paint a thin line down the middle of the eye, try to get it as close to the middle as possible as doesnt help fighting a war with crossed eyes Laughing .

Second option - fineliners

Invest in white and black fineliners. Now draw the eyes with the white fineliner and then draw in the black line down the middle of the eye, try to find the thinest fineliners, this way is my favourite and in my opinion a much easier way of painting eyes. I have used this way of painting eyes ever since i started and it worked out great. Fineliners are also good for manuscripts on 40k models if any of you play 40k. Also gold and silver fineliners can be used to do detail work on cloaks, this way works a treat on elven cloaks.

A good thing to note is that if your'e a beginner at painting eyes, you can paint them before you paint the face so you don't feel nervous about making the final part perfect. Try for yourself, and you will soon find your favorite method Smile
Conclusion

Well thats it, a small article but im hoping it can help alot of people who dont quite know how to paint their miniatures eyes.

And... if you enjoyed this article please dont forget to vote Razz !
